Why is Chain of Custody Important?

To ensure security, it’s vital to know where your sensitive e-waste — such as hard drives — are from the time of pick up to data destruction to prevent the information falling into the wrong hands. TechSafe Recyclers can provide your organization with a Certificate of Destruction that is your verification that your data has been securely destroyed.

Scott Leder

Everyone who meets Scott never forgets the experience. A born salesperson, he values the relationships he’s built over 19 years of experience in the telecommunications world as much as the wins. Armed with his extensive knowledge of B2B and B2C sales and purchasing, he’s the friendly face of TechSafe Recyclers to the e-recycling industry. Apart from his many professional accomplishments, Scott boasts of being the tallest in his class in 6th grade, raising eight kids with his wife, and growing TechSafe Recycler’s parent company from three to 50 employees in under three years. Scott compares his leadership style to an SUV — the vehicle allows you to see the road ahead with a wider perspective, including any roadblocks, and gives you a better advantage on the road. His hobbies include kvetching about his bad back, playing chess, and reminiscing about when he could play softball and basketball.

Meir Strobel

Meir’s vision for TechSafe Recyclers came from his many years working in the cell phone industry. He recognized an overlooked market in refurbishing mobile devices — and took advantage of the opportunity to expand the business to include the world of electronic recycling. Creative, entrepreneurial and strategic, Meir has never met a challenge he didn’t like. Meir’s business acumen and solid financial and vendor relationships drive the company’s many tactical deals and acquisitions. He’s a dedicated teacher of a weekly Talmudic law class, a master of the perfect sushi order, and always manages to keep his cool no matter how much pressure he is under.

Yossi Green

Yossi is always on the move – managing everything operations-related: programming, software development, processes, operations management and compliance. He is fearless at tackling complex logistical issues, setting up processes and back-end protocols to ensure that TechSafe Recyclers processes 60,000+ items a month efficiently, cost-effectively – and securely. His hands-on oversight includes all levels of fulfillment: purchasing, bookkeeping, receiving, warehouse, processing, testing, wiping, grading, shipping and fulfillment. Additionally, he spearheads the company’s Responsible Recycling and Software Flashing Solutions initiatives. Yossi met Meir and Scott in the mobile device industry – and the rest is history. In his spare time, Yossi’s hobbies include ruining Miriam’s company surprises, singing, reading, and playing with his three young children.

Miriam Rosenblat

Miriam is an expert at wearing multiple hats and her position at TechSafe Recyclers keeps her wearing a different one each day. Whether it is procuring new items to recycle, flying to a conference, or attending networking events, Miriam gives it her all. She joined the team in 2018 with a focus on managing the company’s in-house talent, and has grown to lead TechSafe Recyclers’ business development efforts. Whether you have a question about one of TechSafe Recyclers’ services or need to schedule a pick-up, all you need to do is give Miriam a call.

Miles Johnson

Baltimore native Miles likes to learn – which comes in handy as there is always something new to learn in the world of e-recycling. He combines his customer service background and Network Administration degree to continue to build TechSafe Recyclers’ tech expertise. Miles oversees the sorting and testing of items and determines how to properly recycle and destroy data. Self-taught in vintage Apple computer repair, Miles enjoys snowboarding and skiing, and is currently studying Korean. If you have a challenge, you can always count on Miles to be up for the task!

Carlise Lewis

Like her colleagues at TechSafe Recyclers, Carlise brings her experience in multiple industries to create a seamless experience for the company’s customers. She is responsible for maintaining the highest level of regulation compliance by tracking inventory throughout both TechSafe Recyclers’ warehouses. Her role is the perfect mix of her organizational talents, her ability to multitask, and her desire to make a difference in the world. She finds the best part of her job is the ability to leave work each day knowing that she has kept thousands of electronic parts from entering a landfill.
